Yay, I Have an eBay Blue Star

Written by Becypher on Monday, March 10th, 2008 in Lifestyle, Our News, Selling.

Much like a baby in womb, it took me 9 months to finally “arrive” in eBay.ph.

I am now a blue star (equal to or greater than 50 POSTIVE FEEDBACKS) seller – buyer at eBay.ph. Considering that I sometime use the account for testing, studying the selling and buying scheme, selling my personal items, 50 positives is not bad. To the lone eBayer who fired one negative feedback at me, thae this, I am now certified Blue account holder.

Onto the next 50 postive feedbacks…

Busted or Confirmed? Sulit Ads Not Getting The Views

Written by Becypher on Monday, March 3rd, 2008 in Our News, Selling.

I’ve been getting Discovery Channel’s Mythbusters reruns daily at noontime. Right now, I got this Mythbusters fever. And so I am doing Shop.Blink.Ph test, Mythbuster style.

One chick emailed me a myth claiming that despite Sulit.com.ph tremendous traffic / number of visitors, her ads is not getting the views. Via Sulit’s classifieds Management, you’ll see the page or ad views of an advertisement. Or via clicking an ad, it displays the number of times it has been viewed. (more…)

Blozoom.com – Buy and Sell Philippines – Free Ads Posting

Written by ShopOne on Wednesday, January 9th, 2008 in Featured Sites, Selling.

Philippines Online Classifieds - Blozoom.comWe made one site. A free classifieds site that will serve Philippines’ online market and online folks. Named blozoom.com, we are looking at this one as another venue for online sellers and online buyers to bolster their buying and selling activity. So now, not only we will be posting about Philippines online classifieds site, Philippines online marketplace or Philippine Buy Sell Site, we now have one to maintain.

Speaking of activity… this is the reason why we’ve got few posting here at Shop.Blink.Ph, we are making our own buy & sell website, the Blozoom.com – Philippine Online Buy & Sell Classifieds Site.

Launch date is February 14, 2008 but you may now start using the site. Quick registration, easy posting, fast communication amongst the users (buyers and sellers), cool mint green design, etc. You got few reasons (in fact none at all in my view) not to join the selling and buying at Blozoom.com.

But of course, we’ll be writing about our OWN site here in this blog once in a while.

eBay Says… This Replica Should Go

Written by ShopOne on Monday, December 3rd, 2007 in Selling.

m-CLIP MP3 Player New! Music-CLIP or M-CLIP is a cloned iPod Shuffle MP3 Player. The lightest portable audio player you could own. Yes, clip it on and do your task like brisk walking, while at work, study, library or even in the gym, working out.

We will now have this new segment, called, “eBay Says…”

A late night email check got me to know that the item above is not allowed for post/sale at eBay. Well, though I have good amount of stocks of this model, I just have to accept the rules. eBay is just protecting the overall buying and selling experience at site. Protecting the trademark owners too. In this case, Apple and iPod coz the item above is a shuffle cloned mp3 player. They are protecting themselves too for possible lawsuits.

I’ll just post the item here.

eBay info about counterfeit and trademark here.

How to Sell a Friggin Box?

Written by Becypher on Wednesday, November 14th, 2007 in Selling.

Well, try posting like this…

* 1 Lot White Gift Boxes – 20 pcs
* Good for selling items, make your items presentable
* For gifts and give-aways
* Can be disassembled
* Ship-out or Pick-up is by schedule
* Size: app 7 x 3 x 6 inches

It was sold P200 over at eBay. P200 is surely not the huge but it’s better to encash those boxes rather than clogging my room.

Increase Your Holiday Season Sales

Written by ShopOne on Friday, October 26th, 2007 in Selling, Tips and Tutorials.

Plan and Sell Early – After the long holiday stretch of All Saints Day – All Souls Day, the holiday season kicks in. So this year, the Magic Date is November 5, 2007. Start doubling up you sales effort around this time, couple with your offers or promos. This holiday shipping season could stretch up to the later days of January.

Give-Aways and Gifts – As much as possible, focus on items that are suited for gifts, even company and corporate give-aways. You don’t want spending all your time and effort selling a P10,000,000 building during this time. To add, why not offer free gift wrapping promo on your items for sale. (more…)

eBay Bidders “Sick” Alibis

Written by ShopOne on Monday, September 17th, 2007 in Buying, Selling.

We all understand that bidding (and winning) a bid at eBay binds a seller and buyer into an agreement. That is, to finish the deal. But we Filipinos are hard-headed bunch and so we would always find away to botch up the deal.

One of the most popular alibis, is the SICK ALIBI. This goes in a different variety like, my other is sick, i am sick, my father was hospitalized, my dog is on the vet, and so on. The storyline is, the funds to be used for the bid was used in the meds or hospital bills.

Once received, what can a seller do? Personally, I just let it go. Who knows, the story is legit and I don’t want Mr. Karma hunting me back. But we all know too well, that sick-alibi is the default alibi of eBay.ph users.

I’ll be posting some samples of “sick-alibis” along with other weird and classic reason I can find. I’ll check my email archive and will post new ones too as soon as received. Samples below:

  • good morning..sorry for the late response.by the way,kalalabas ko lang kasi yesterday from the hospital.1 week kasi ako naadmit dun.anyway,still im interested to buy your digicam.
  • I’m sorry.i’m not able to pay for the item. i have aproblem with one of my transaction. i been scamed.pls cancel the bid.pls dont leave any negative feedbak if you won’t mind.thanks
  • Im sorry i cant purchase anymore. I just lost a fucking R51 laptop..you may leave a negative feedback..i understand.
  • Got your mail, sorry to tell you that, I will not purchase anymore, due to the reson that, I me and my friends was ‘hold up” when on our way hope…and they get all our money…hope you understand…. ilike it the moment I saw it on ebay. Thank you and hope there is one bidder that cud get your item…Thank you and sorry…..
  • You got your own experiences? Share ‘em.

    To be updated…

    Only 5-of-18 Pushed Through at eBAY.ph

    Written by Becypher on Friday, September 7th, 2007 in Selling.

    Responding to this post, let me now share experience selling in eBay.ph.

    I have sold (meaning, there are winning bidders, not a closed sale) 18 items the past 60 days. But only 5 bidders actually pushed thru with purchase. Comparing this to others, this could still be high considering some sellers that I know who have posts of over 100 items, they regularly receive 5 to 10 SOLD notification every batch sale.

    And, among these 10 bidders who got the payment info or pick-option, only 1 or 2 will actually go and get the items. From hearsay, that’s 5/50 rate or 5/25 at the most. (more…)
