How not to get murdered when selling used cars

Written by ShopOne on Sunday, January 23rd, 2011 in Selling.

1. When contacted by buyers by phone or through the Internet, always make the effort to get their address or their telephone numbers which you can call back to verify whether or not they are who they claim they are. Checking their names on Facebook or other social sites would be helpful.

Online Selling via Multiply

Written by ShopOne on Friday, October 31st, 2008 in Earn Online, Selling.

online sellin multiply

This can not be stopped (for now). Thousands and thousands are selling their stuff online using the social networking site, MULTIPLY.com.

Last year, I also dipped my foot and created my own account over at Multiply but other projects came in so that was shelved. Now that we got just a little more time to test the multiply selling, our multiply account is now into full gear.

http://blozoom.multiply.com is the url.

What’s nice about Multiply is that the interface is built-in and ready. Only the content that you’ll load is needed. With its online networking feature and basic stuff like, photos, music, videos, blogs and links are all set, these make Multiply (though not its primary purpose) a ready online selling machine.

To be able to consummate the deal, communication is important. And Multiply doesn’t lack a thing in this regard. Users can easily comment on posts, can easily reply on comments and finally, it has private messaging as well. The email settings have all the options if you want to be notified on posts, comments, etc. etc. Also, there are third-party tools that you can use if ever you would want to install an order form.

Let me mention too, the Multiply has an upgrade option. The paid service will let you remove the google ads.

Ateneo – La Salle Tickets Available Over at eBay Philippines

Written by Becypher on Friday, September 19th, 2008 in News & Reports, Selling.

My, my, the hottest tickets in town finally made its way over at eBay Philippines. Via Cheftonio, the Ateneo – La Salle tickets links at eBay are here, here and here.

For these incoming finals games, The PNP is really strict on scalpers and already few are caught and charged. But, it looks like if you do sell over in the interwebs and jack up the price 1000%, that’s not scalping but online enterprising geniuses. :-) Sosi kasi if via eBay, rather than be at the gates of Araneta and sway your tickets for sale.

Via TJ Manotoc…

A few enterprising ones who were blessed with more tickets than they need have gone online, offering their spare tickets on eBay Philippines.

One such vendor is offering his Upper Box A seat for a minimum of P6,000, a seat that has a face value of P250. There is even one vendor selling a package of tickets for Game 1 and 2, even though Game 2 tickets have yet to be released. Selling of tickets on eBay online is legal and an accepted practice in the US where eBay made its name.

As for eBay Philippines, they specified this: “eBay permits resale of tickets to entertainment events (including sporting events, concerts, and plays) to the fullest extent permitted by law.”

But that’s only a handful of tickets so far online, and so far only 1 bidder for an Upper Box B ticket selling at a minimum P1,500. The real action happens with the real life scalpers. And the bulk of the scalpering activity does not happen right outside the venue on game day as most people think.

Selling a 2nd Hand Car Online in the Philippines

Written by Becypher on Wednesday, September 17th, 2008 in Lifestyle, Selling, Tips and Tutorials.

Oooops I did it again.

Last week, I was able to sell my car via the internet. I posted on 3 sites (Multiply, Sulit & eBay.ph). Literally, within minutes, I was able to get inquiries. And just 3 days later, the car is sold.

Talk about the power of the internet. Eraserheads have this song “SUPER PROXY,” and the classic eheads tune talks about the internet. “Ito ang kailangan mo, idial ang telepono.” (Still dial-up modem back in the mid 90s). Really true, internet, we really need. Well, no need to dial the phone now considering much of the internet pop are going DSL & highspeed internet.

To Hit Back at an eBay Negative Feedback, or Not?

Written by ShopOne on Thursday, August 7th, 2008 in eBay, Selling.

That’s the question.

Say, you got your own site, a blog perhaps, would you hit back or (in a more pleasant statement) blog about it? Blog abut the history, details, players of the transaction.

It has crossed my mind many times several times. There are those deserved negative feedbacks and I am sure I got a couple deserved negatives. But what if, you are 100% sure, you made the best effort and still winding up with a negative feedback? (more…)
