Buy & Sell $ BLOG

Written by ShopOne on Monday, August 11th, 2008 in Our News.

After more than 200 post of 18 months of blogging, we found ourselves in need of a logo. And, whilst in the process of doing so, we only ended up with this one. The trouble in making one little logo was brought upon us simply because the blog lacked identity and a tag line.

The generic SHOP.BLINK.PH simply won’t suffice and really doesn’t ring a bell, much more, makes sense.

And so today, from henceforth, beginning today, from now on, we’ll be calling this Blog…

Auction.ph Bloggers Party, And We Are Invited!

Written by ShopOne on Tuesday, August 5th, 2008 in Our News.

Got an email from Manu ’bout Auction.ph’s 3rd Year Anniversary Partey.

They say it’s Auction.ph “B” Day. Bloggers’ day and Birthday too!

No reason not to come baby. Auction.ph has been helping us get sales these past years. Not to mention, they got account executives that personally take care of accounts. And when I say personally, it means a hands-on assistance of products listings, payment follow-up, encashment and transfer of funds, etc. With this regard, Auction.ph customer support is by far, THE best amongst big buy and sell sites in the Philippines. (Not saying this so Auction.ph will give us the best cake cut in the party and the coldest beer. It’s the truth. :-) )

Joining Philippines Top Blogs

Written by ShopOne on Friday, August 1st, 2008 in Our News.

I just installed one tiny little button at right sidebar to track where this blog stands (if at all, it stands) in the Finance & Business category of Philippines Top Blogs.

Our brother site, Hoops Blog, is doing pretty well at top 5 under the Sports and Recreation category. I figure, Shop bLINK should try as well. Of course, we will not be able to crack top 5. (more…)

eBay Philippines Joins the Bankwagon

Written by Becypher on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008 in Our News.

This is what I am saying… that even BIG HUGE HUMONGOUS online site like eBay sometimes listens and adjusts to users’ preference/s.

eBay.ph joins the Bank, err, bandwagon of old fashioned payment via bank deposit. (more…)

Sussy Be Sad Says Sulit

Written by Becypher on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008 in Our News.

Holy Mackarel! This is the first time I saw someone cried over a spilled milk, err, over a suspended account. You’ve been suspended one time eh? You cried? No, I am sure. I am 100% sure.

Eto, si Sussy, she cried like a baby (like her baby) after she was informed the her account at sulit is NADA! NADA means no more, NADA means nadisgrasya!

I was informed by my wifey, that little Sussy is earning extra P3000 a month just by doing extra curricular work, by posting at Sulit.com.ph. Not knowing that, she’s breaking a hard coded SULIT LAW, one of two 10 commandments of SULIT.com.ph…

No. 3 – THOU SHALL NOT POST DUPLICATE CONTENT.

and

No. 1 – THOU SHALL NOT CREATE ANOTHER ACCOUNT (even if you belong to a single company)

Anyways, she cried. And she’s lonely. Why? The 3000 pesos she earns (galing talaga ng SULIT sa sales lead, that we can not deny and nobody would deny, obladi oblada) helps immensely at home expenses. See, she got this 6 month old baby and basically, that P3000 feeds the baby. And her hubby-hub-hubs is only a Secu. Now, I am not putting Sekyu’s down, but in terms of salary, they could do better. Argggggggggghhhhhhh!

Now what? Well, we just gotta support her. Teach her to post elsewhere, craiglist, tradeport, ebay, blozoom, ETCETERA.

To Sulit, Sussy says, thanks man.

XEND Express, Official Shipping Partner of eBay Philippines

Written by ShopOne on Friday, July 4th, 2008 in Our News.

Got this from my membership in the eBay Philippines Group. The member “xendbsi” has sent the following message to the group: eBay Philippines

From: xendbsi
To: eBay Philippines

Great News!

Xend just recently became an Official Shipping Partner of eBay Philippines

And, for all new clients who are members of this group will get a special 10% on all international services for their first pickup. Just mention you are part of the eBay Philippines group.

We will also occasionally post important news and announcements in order to keep the eBay community informed.

You can find us here:

http://www.xendexpress.com

Thank you!

And, from the XEND EXPRESS website, they have got this promo:

* Domestic: 5% discount
* Postal: 5% discount
* EMS: 5% discount
* International Express: 10% discount

To enjoy these discounts, just enter your eBay username and auction item number in the relevant fields when creating an airway bill using myXend. myXEND is an inhouse cooked interface. I’ll be trying this out pending some clarifications with XEND staff regarding multiple eBay users under one myXEND user.

To avail of our special discounts please follow the steps below:

* You must be a registered eBay user and have a myXend account
* Specify your eBay Username in the Settings section. (NOTE: You only need to do this once)
* For every shipment you create in myXend, specify the eBay Item No.
* You will then start to enjoy the discounts stated!

From the humbe beginnings of XEND (including, their dreaded spamming of my mailbox with their service/qotations), they’ve moved up. Clearly, XEND has been banking on e-commerce trade and has been doing great with it. eBay Philippines would not have noticed them if eBay users aren’t actually using their service. It means a LOT of eBay sellers are using XEND.

We use XEND Express on our Metro Manila shipping requirements. Save for few discourteous pick-up personnel and that you have to book a pick up a day early, XEND save us some bucks and makes us not TOO dependent on the big three, LBC Express, FEDEX’s Air 21 and JRS Express.
