Send Money thru Friendster.com via Globe’s G-Cash Facility

Written by ShopOne on Wednesday, March 18th, 2009 in Our News.

Globe and TM subscribers can now send money to each other on Friendster using GCASH. Turn your mobile phone into a virtual wallet with GCASH and send money remittance, pay bills, and to pay for a variety of products and services. To get started, simply register your mobile number with Friendster.

What is GCASH? A related GCASH entry here.

Friendster says… GCASH is Globe Telecom’s mobile commerce service that turns your mobile phone into a virtual wallet. With GCASH, both Globe and TM subscribers can send money to other Globe and TM subscribers via text messages. GCASH can be used to send money remittance, to pay bills, and to pay for a variety of products and services.
How to use gcash on Friendster?

  • First, register your Globe mobile number on Friendster by texting REG to 2276.
  • Visit your home page. You’ll now see a “Send GCASH” link under “My Tools” (you must be logged into Friendster to see this).
  • Click on “Send GCASH” and you’ll see a list of friends that also have enabled GCASH on Friendster. Click on the friend you’d like to send GCASH to, enter the amount and click “Send”.
  • You can also send GCASH to any GCASH-enabled Globe or TM number. Click the Globe / TM number tab, enter the mobile number, enter the amount and click “Send”.
  • You’ll be asked to confirm the transaction with your 4-digit MPIN. Just follow the instructions you see on Friendster, and your friend will receive GCASH from you!

What’s great with this G-Cash inside Friendster, more trade online is expected. Thereby boosting online commerce in the Philippines.

What’s not good about having a money transfer scheme inside Friendster, I am expecting the possibility of more “give-me-load, I’ll do a private web-show” modus operandi in there.

Buyandsellplus.com Prize

Written by Becypher on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008 in Our News.

nokia-n70-music-editon-8.jpg

I finally got the first prize of BNSP’s, cough cough, Best Seller of the Year 2008 Contest.

The first prize is one shiny brand new Nokia N70 Music Edition cellphone. Not bad. An early Christmas gift from Buyandsellplus.com.

nokia-n70-music-editon-7.jpg

Other Top 5 Winners of BNSP Best Seller of the Year 2008 Promo are…

BECYPHER – Cellphone
maryjane08: Mary Jane Maulion – MP3
buyshopnet: Rose Elegino – Watch
blizzard23: Ronald Morabe – Watch
Automobilico: Catherine Luciano - USB Flash Drive

More pictures here.

Really want to thank the developers of BNSP not only for this valued prize BUT also, for giving us buyers & sellers, an avenue to trade, sell, swap all these years. Buyandsellplus.com is not your next door, fly by night website. This site has been around for quite sometime. I have been using BNSP for almost 6 years now and honestly, I got good memories and experiences using the site.

I sold hundreds of hundred of items (products from ECBUYPH.COM) using BNSP. I sold my car back in 2004 using BNSP. I met friends and business partners using BNSP. It’s at BNSP where I made my first paid internet advertisement. Buyandsellplus.com is already a part of my surfing habit.

Disclosure… we run our own classifieds site and to tell you, honestly, it aint easy and the ROI on time/money invested is not that high. Running a Philippine classifieds site is almost public service. So, to the users of Buyandsellplus.com, let’s continue to support this site. In the end, we, buyers & sellers are the beneficiaries of a successfully run classifieds site.

In all, it’s been quite a ride using the BNSP (including the bugs & downtime :-) ). Here’s to more years of BNSP and allied sites.

Sulit Scare

Written by ShopOne on Friday, November 7th, 2008 in Our News.

One of the sites I check during my mornings is Sulit.com.ph. Earlier today I got one hell of a scare, after I was my browser was redirected to sedo (a known domain buy & sell thing).

First thought, am I blocked or suspended again by the mighty Sulit? Second thought, was Sulit.com.ph hacked or something. Either way, not be able to access Sulit for few hours meant my stomach acting up in anxiety. We get good sales out of Sulit.com.ph and not being able to access the site is big. I asked a couple of poeple to try accessing the site, to no avail.

Here’s what we all got…

sulitcomph.png

Finally, just now, the site is up again and running. I don’t know if the site is 100% fully operational. But here’s a quick info from RJ the owner…

Please be advised that there is currently a problem with Sulit.com.ph domain.

We are currently trying to resolve the issue with the domain registry of the Philippines as the nameserver of Sulit.com.ph has been changed to sedoparking.com nameservers without us changing it and without our knowledge. Unfortunately, there seems to be no support guys or anyone from domains.ph beyond the regular office hours.

Our account in domains.ph was also surprisingly non-existing and we cannot login to their system.

Sorry for the inconvenience but this is already out of our control and we will try our best to get everything back to normal and get answers from domains.ph on the details regarding why this happened. source

We got a couple of domains registered with Domains.ph too and I have some issues with them that is still pending. We’ll try to work out our domain problems with Domains.ph too and hopefully SULIT domain problem or investigation would clear up too. If there are sites in the Philippines that we can’t afford to lose, at the top of the list would be Sulit.com.

From Inbox: Buyandsellplus.com’s Free Cash Wallet Load

Written by Becypher on Saturday, October 11th, 2008 in Our News.

BSNP just announced a rewards promo for its users. Basically, for being active on the forums.

Free Cash Wallet Re-load – Buyandsellplus will be giving away Free Cash Wallet load for those who will be participating in our daily forums. Author’s will be given Php 25.00 worth of load per posting and Php 10.00 for members joining the discussions.

My guess is, the accumulated load (pesos) is not ‘encashable.’ Rather, the user will use his cash wallet in subscribing to BNSP’s fatured ads, hot grabs, ads services.

This cash wallet is almost same as Sulit’s SC points system. Where, at Sulit, they did not use the term “peso” as the points unit. They use SC, stand for Sulit Currency.

After the BNSP announcements, I still see few activity in their Forums. Maybe, after some days, it will fly. Lemme add, I still wonder why the forums aint that busy and buying activity cooled off. Some 3 years back, Sulit wasn’t alive then, no eBay & Auction.ph still, Buyandsellplus was kickin ass. I was able to get good sales from them. In my view, I think BNSP lost the momentum with too many & too widescale reboots, then some site bugs and then mega financed giants Auction.ph and eBay came along. Then, of course I mentioned, RJ’s Sulit with masterful SEO techniques came along.

I  still believe Buyandsellplus.com can be a factor in the Philippines online classifieds arena. It has all the functionalities of an online marketplace. It just has to have a magical marketing of some kind. (Hell, I dunno how to market, and even If I know I will not post in here but apply it on our own buy and sell site, Blozoom! Ha!)

Well, this rewards promo, best seller of the year and link exchange offering are rights steps. Goodluck to BNSP, I want more active buy & sell sites in the Philippines.

Uy, by the way, I am nominated at BNSP for best seller, becypher is the name.

Written by Becypher on Monday, September 8th, 2008 in Our News.

Fast times. Fast times. I remember some 2 years ago, I happened to land on Sulit.com.ph, and I quickly asked some friends and people to check it out too. I already knew this site was made ground up by one fella (well at least, sort of) but it’s has something going on. And so, I tried it. And 2 years later, I am using it and the rest of 200,000 they have got. (more…)
