Auction.ph taps bloggers to improve ad service

Auction.ph, the foremost online shopping mall in the Philippines, revamps its very own ad service program called AdAuction. AdAuction is a tool that enables bloggers and web publishers to generate revenue from the display of pre-formatted ads. The enhancements to the new program that include ad category selection and additional revenue generating features were revealed recently during an event.
Top bloggers were invited to the said event and recommendations were solicited from the target subscribers. “We wanted to open a dialogue and find out what bloggers are looking for in an ad service. We were able to gain valuable inputs from the bloggers and we will try and integrate their suggestions to the program as much as we can,†says Manu Ofiaza of Auction.ph.
The original system was introduced a couple of years ago with the endorsement of professional blogger, Abe Olandres. In the original program, bloggers and website publishers can download pre-formatted ads by subscribing to the AdAuction service. Ad selection was randomly generated and bloggers and web publishers can earn revenues through sales commissions. A Php6.00 commission was given for every successful sale resulting from a posted ad.
In the new improved program, bloggers and web publishers can now select the preformatted ads based on item categories and events available on Auction.ph. AdAuction subscribers can now select ad categories most appropriate for their blog site or website. Furthermore, subscribers get additional incentives with new revenue streams available. A plan to integrate a pay-per-click feature on top of the commission scheme is in the works.
The new improved AdAuction shall be launched soon on www.ad.auction.ph.
We did a quick review Ad.Auction.ph service back in the day, here.
And, Auction.ph blog also gave a teaser of what’s to come in the soon-to-be-reloaded Ads Service. And so we are just awaiting further dev. Website owners and bloggers should expect better incentives program and more importantly, the power to select the ads we want to pop on our websites. The integration of pay-per-click wold certainly make this program very enticing to us web entrepreneurs.
We are standing by.
