Advertising with eBay Philippines and SULIT
Written by ShopOne on February 17th, 2008 in Advertising.

Earlier last week, we tried one cute little advertising at Sulit.com.ph. Priced at P695, we subscribed to it just for learning and testing experience. By the way, the ad we placed pointed to BLOZOOM.com, another project born out of testing and wanting to learn more. After some few days, I got fairly good idea with the effect of our trial ads at Sulit.com.ph. We’ll be adjusting any campaign for our sites the next time we subscribe to Sulit.com.ph ads service. BTW, Sulit will overhaul the ad placement sometime in April so it’s a whole new ballgame again.
Speaking of new, checkout eBay Philippines, they are now accepting paid advertisements at site. This is the first time I have seen eBay publishing an acceptance of direct ads inquiry. And I thought this can never happen. Them being the biggest site not only in the Phils, but in the world(wideweb), I was thinking all their ads will go thru a media firm or advertising company. I am tempted to inquire but I know, certainly, the eBay ad rates will never reach the affordability of Sulit.com.ph rates. I will just waste the time of eBay rep Sushmita Sen based at India or Singapore who will answer my query.
Quoting eBay…
Advertising with eBay is a great opportunity to reach millions of online consumers visiting eBay sites, both here in Phillippines and internationally. Options range from standard display advertising (popular placements listed below) to more flexible sponsorship packages tailored to your campaign.
Right now, as per eBay page, there are three ad locations where you can drop the ads.
1. Homepage Top Banner(300 X 250 pixels)
2. Homepage Bottom Banner(300 X 100 pixels)
3. Category/Search Top Banner(728 X 90 pixels)
And oh by the way, on top of the ads we placed at Sulit and BNSP, we are also testing Google Adwords. I’ll share my experience with the Google Adwords sometime soon.
