I dunno if I should put this under Tips & Tutorials coz it’s no secret that one reliable couriers in the Philippines is the LBC Express or sometimes search as LBC Philippines. For all online traders here in the Philippines who do buy and sell, having one LBC account or at the very least, knowing one near LBC station is must.

Finding one LBC station in the Philippines is not hard anyways. With hundreds of branches, this will be a piece of crate, I mean, cake. Besides, LBC website has online search where you could search for the nearest branches. The LBC Express site tool will give you the exact pinpoint address of the LBC Express branch.

If you are serious about selling (and buying) online, I suggest that you pay them a visit. It is always faster and more accurate to talk and phone a station LBC personnel than to deal with their call center main group (02 8585 999). Personalize service, you can’t get that if you call the 1-800-WE-ARE-BUSY line. Better to call the LBC Express station. I think they are not prohibited to answer direct customer calls.

What’s nice about knowing the local LBC people in your area, you could actually phone in and inquire about the rates, cost of shipping fee across the Philippines, be it high tide or low tide. Of course, these infos are available via the LBC internet presence, but it will not hurt if you’ll get the details staright fro the carabao’s mouth.

With a mantra of “HARI NG PADALA,” how could they screw up eh? Thus far, after 5 years of shipment using LBC, no item lost thus far. Batting average of 100% delivered so far. Can you say RELIABLE?

But this reliability comes with a cost. Sometimes, LBC is 2X times priced higher than say Air21 or JRS Express. That is, in certain areas and for a particular size of goods ship out. But again, LBC is kinda has superior service and they serve far more areas. Even the remote areas that other couriers cant get in, they will serve that. (I think, from our experience, only Bislig City, Sto. Domingo Albay and Jose Panganiban Camarines Norte are the areas not served by LBC Express right now.)

Us, as we also buy and sell online here in the Philippines, the most common LBC Express pouch or service we use are the TRANSPACKs. Namely, the TRANSPACK Small and TRANSPACK24. See sizes below and check if it’s the right fit with what you sell.

Transpak Small

L – 11in
H- 6.5 in
Max Wt Requirement: 1 kg

Transpak 24

L – 20in.
H – 15 in
Max Wt Requirement: 3 kgs

Let’s have sample ships using the two and having a P2000 commodity as the item for ship out.

LBC Express Transpack 24

* Metro Manila to Metro Manila – P220.00
* Metro Manilato North Luzon – P240.00
* Metro Manilato South Luzon – P240.00
* Metro Manilato North Luzon – P245.00
* Metro Manilato North Luzon – P245.00

LBC Express Transpack Small

* Metro Manila to Metro Manila – P145.00
* Metro Manilato North Luzon – P150.00
* Metro Manilato South Luzon – P150.00
* Metro Manilato North Luzon – P155.00
* Metro Manilato North Luzon – P155.00

So basically, a Transpack small, price to ship hovers around P150 and Transpack 24 fee is around P240.00. For your guidance, valuation or shipping insurance is computed as follows: P15.00 for the first P500.00 of the declared value, plus P5.00 for every succeeding P500.00.
