BuySell.ph – Philippines’ Local Area Ads and Events Site

Quoting the site, “Welcome to Buy and Sell Philippines Local Area Classifieds! Post your ads, resumes, job vacancies, services, events and personals in your local area (city or province). To post or check out ads in your local area, please click on a location (NCR City or Province) on the right. No Registration Required to Post or Reply at Buy and Sell Philippines! Forever Free. Longest Ad posting at 365 days! You can post your ads or events right now! (Note: Valid email address required for ad posting validation.)”

It says, up to 365 days! That alone is a stretch because as a seller you don’t know how long will your stocks hold. But the thing is, I think the site has 365 days duration as a default. It will be worse when, you post an event, a one time event and you have it posted all year long.

The ads are categorized locally. Meaning if you want to look for event (and ads) in your area, you could automatically click the desired location.

I tried posting and what it says is mind-boggling. Above the posting form says, “Your ad will be displayed for 3650 days. Consider buying one of the Extended Ad packages if you would like your ad to run longer.” Whoa, that’s 10 friggin years! I think they must fix this thing. And checking my post, indeed, my post is to end on Sept 13 2017. Wow!

I believe they’ll soon get this bug.

Other than that, there are good things in the site worth mentioning. Like:

  • It allows multiple images upload. In fact, they allow up to five images
  • They allow up to 200KB picture file size. That’s 1MB free image hosting.
  • Easy captcha. (Good news, if eye sight challenged)
  • No registration is required. Only valid email address. The downside of no registration is, every post, you have to validate it. But hey, if only need to post once in ever ten years (or one year, as soon site owners notice that 3650 is waaaaay too long), that’s not asking too much. Just validate your ad, wil ya.
  • Oh, here’s another what-could-be-a-bug: During ad listing, the form asks for the URL, but the approved post doesn’t show this URL or LINK.

Fairly simple terms of use here. Here are my test but live posts.
