ad auction auction.ph

Not to be confused with AuctionAds, Auction.ph just launched it’s auction ads service. Named the other way around, AdAuctions. Auction.Ph is branding it as AdAuction but the truth is, it goes Ad.Auction.ph. They are using a subdomain to launch the service.

Same with AuctionAds, AdAuction is a system that will allow website owners and bloggers to have an additional stream of income. We will test drive Auction.ph’s AdAuction here at our LIVE Auctions page.

To earn, simply create and display preformatted ads on your page and earn a commission for every successful transaction resulting from the ad banner on your page.

Auction.ph says, “All you need is a blog or website, an AdAuction account, a little time and patience and you’ll be on your way to earning easy cash!” Well, I got 3 out of 4. I have site/blog and I am patient enough. I’ll be creating an account right about now.

What I don’t like is that, you will need to re-register an account exclusively for this Adauction service. Can’t they integrate that to the main Auction.ph. site account? Very unlike Google, that has one sign-in and use ALL Google Services functionality.

Just the same, I got to do a fresh sign-up just so I can test drive Auction.ph’s AdAuction.

Testing now…

You can go choose between Text Ad or Text Ad plus Image. Banners comes in different forms like horizontal ads, square ads and vertical banners. Also each form, you can choose among various sizes like for Square Ads, it comes it Large Rectangle (336 x 280), Square (250 x 250), Medium Recatangle (300 x 250), Small Square (200 x 200), Button (125 x 125) and Small Rectangle (180 x 150). Colors can be customized but not the fonts. What’s off target is, if you choose to have the ads table in white, the phrase “Ads by Auction.ph” won’t be visible.

Quick information:

  • You’ll have access to reports including ad tracking and Payout reports.
  • This is not pay per click. A transaction is considered successful when a Buyer (coming from the publisher’s site) clicks on an AdAuction ad, and confirms purchase of the item.
  • From Auction.ph FAQ, “Publishers (AdAuction members) are entitled to 60% of the commission fee. The current commission fee in effect is P10.00 per successful transaction. Commission fees may be adjusted at any time by Auction.ph.”
  • Minimum cash out is 500 Pesos.Via bank transfer(currently RCBC and Union Bank only). or e-money (Auction.ph currency) credits.
  • Ads feed is done randomly. Contextual ads not yet available. Expect unrelated items on your page.
  • Finally, Auction.ph writes that you may join AdAuction even if you are already a part of a different ad-serving network (say, Google Adsense, Auction Ads). HOWEVER, you should only display AdAuction Ads in areas where they will not be confused with the ads of another ad-serving network.

On our live auction page, AdAuction Ads by Auction.ph is separated by dashed line from AuctionAds that give eBay ads/items. I guess that dashed line will do. I say to Auction.ph, if you really wanted to avoid confusion, why name your service AdAuction?
