Quick Tips: Selling On Auction Sites

With the lure of quick sale and quick cash, more and more people are selling their products and services online. To the auction sites and other trading sites like eBay.com, Buyandsellph.com, bidshot.com they go.

But to be noticed and to sell even more, one must pay attention to some aspects of online trading.

People spend a lot of time looking around when buying at auction sites. Well, I do. I check a lot of sellers and items before bidding or even before clicking that “buy now” button. We all want the best deals. So too your prospective buyers.

So whenever you decide on selling your items at auction sites, give your best deal.

Name Game: Name your items well. Not only buyers will find your items but the search engines as well.

Pricing: With multitude of sellers in there, it is advised to always post your best possible price.

Timing: Time your posting. As much as possible, do not post on a Thursday/Friday and have a 3-day auction duration. By that, you’re auction will end up during the weekend when lesser people are online.

Description: Selling the benefits of your product. By that, I mean give what buyers will get if they buy your stuff. Take it easy on the technical side of things. No one will buy if your items’ descriptions read like a draft of a rocket scientist.

Category: Categorized your products correctly. eBay is very strict on this one and they have a right to be strict with regards to this. Correct categorization improves user’s shopping experience and will give us all higher chances of being found by interested buyers and bidders.

We’ll be posting more stuff as we go along. For now, we got to sell/post too and apply these suggestions. We have some bills to pay too.
